Backing Codesphere

Cloud infrastructure is a top priority for many. According to Gartner’s IT roadmap, as many as 90% of companies want to digitally transform with cloud technologies but don't have the right capabilities to deliver this.

Running applications on the cloud can often be complex and require deep understanding of containerization, not something that everyone has experience in, which can often lead to long setup time and a costly process to migrate and maintain.

This is where Codesphere comes in. Codesphere empowers developers to build applications directly in the cloud, eliminating the hurdles of DevOps and containerization. Founded by Elias Schneider, Jonas Zipprick and Roman Frolov, Codesphere is already working with leading international organizations including Staatsbank für Baden-Württemberg (L-Bank), Tel.io, Arkane, Gigabyte, and Eurotours to name a few.

Codesphere's founders

When one of the world’s largest cloud providers significantly increased its prices, many customers turned their attention to Karlsruhe where Codesphere is based. One of their customers is L-Bank who, by using Codesphere, is now taking a significant step towards becoming the most digital development bank in Europe. This kind of transformation is exactly the kind of impact we expect our portfolio to make in the markets in which they operate and why we see Codesphere as a key player in shaping the future of cloud based development. We’re looking forward to seeing Codesphere unlocking similar breakthroughs for many more organizations.

Codesphere started as a vision shared by three talented software engineers: Elias, Jonas and Roman. Now it is a force of over 20 people. Their strong product vision, combined with speed of execution and their ability to recruit top talent is exactly what convinced us to back Codesphere. And this is only reinforced by the strong recommendations we have received from founders in our portfolio.

With Codesphere taking care of DevOps infrastructure, developers have more time to focus on building what matters. This new capital injection will allow the company to expand further, including developing new solutions to manage the cost efficiency of large language models (LLMs) and improve collaboration within development teams.

Welcome Elias, Jonas, Roman and the rest of the Codesphere team to the #Creandumfamily!

Congratulations to the whole team!
