Oscar is our Legal Counsel based in Stockholm. He ensures that Creandum complies with regulatory requirements and that our legal operations run effectively.
I grew up in a small industrial town in southern Sweden with my mum, dad, and younger brother. Early on, I discovered that I loved to compete – but perhaps even more that I hated to lose. My brother, parents, and grandmother all became unwilling competitors – often in board games. My eagerness to win eventually led me to team sports and football, and I spent most of my youth with a ball at my feet. After a while, it wasn’t just about challenging others, but also myself – I started to be motivated by finding solutions, both on and off the pitch.
In high school, I developed an interest in societal issues and law, which led me to study law after graduation. After two years mainly spent reading legislation, case law, and legal doctrine, I decided to also study business and economics to gain a broader perspective. During my final year, I wanted to try something new and went on an exchange semester to Sydney (loved it, even though I never learned to surf…). When I returned to Sweden, I joined a law firm as a trainee, where I became interested in financial regulatory matters – an area I later decided to specialize in.

With the team on the slopes
Working together with my colleagues in the legal team to analyze and solve complex questions allows me to channel many of my interests. Being part of a high-performing team competing to earn the attention of – and support – Europe’s top founders is incredibly stimulating. No day is ever the same, which suits me perfectly.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends – preferably at a restaurant I haven’t tried before, or while traveling somewhere new. I also like to stay active and work out whenever I can. Lately, I’ve (like so many others) taken up running – though I’m still a decidedly mediocre runner.
