Maria Raga
Maria is a Venture Partner based in London. With a strong track record in building consumer brands, she works closely with our portfolio founders to help them scale their organizations and create resilient company cultures for the long term.
Originally from Spain, I developed a deep curiosity for new cultures and languages early on. After studying business in Spain and Germany, and being a research associate at Harvard Business school, I pursued a career in consulting at Bain, where I spent over six years working across Mexico, India, Europe, and Australia. Along the way, I learned two key lessons that continue to shape my career: work hard and surround yourself with people who challenge you to grow.

The journey eventually brought me to London, where I joined MyCityDeal (later acquired by Groupon). Tasked with launching new regions, I went on to build Groupon’s travel business, navigating the fast-paced world of scaling teams and executing at speed. After Groupon’s IPO, I sought new challenges and joined Depop as VP Operations, later becoming CEO. I led Depop through a tough Series B, ultimately secured funding and drove its growth to a $1.6 billion acquisition by Etsy. Since then, it's been a pleasure to sit on the Board of the Women's Professional Leagues and the Digital Advisory Council at ITV, as well as angel investing.
Now, as a Venture Partner at Creandum, I draw on my operator and leadership experience to support early-stage founders in building impactful, high-growth companies.
