Luka Caratsch

Paris, Venture Partner

Luka is our Venture Partner, based in Paris. He works closely with our early-stage portfolio companies to help them scale from Seed to Series B and beyond and advises on go-to-market strategy. Luka focuses mainly on the French ecosystem.

I grew up in Switzerland, in an environment that encouraged curiosity and looking beyond the horizon. With grandparents from four different countries and a grandfather who traveled the world as an ambassador, I was surrounded by international perspectives from an early age. When I finished my studies, I had already lived and worked in six countries: Switzerland, France, Germany, the US, Singapore, and Australia. My academic journey—studying business administration at the University of St. Gallen and Harvard—was going in a very traditional direction, starting with consulting. However, everything changed when I joined Creandum as a Visiting Analyst, an experience that reshaped my career trajectory and ultimately my life.

Luka with the Swan founding team

Creandum inspired me to stay in the tech ecosystem, fully immersing myself in the fast-paced, ever-changing nature of the industry. When the opportunity arose to join Swan as Chief of Staff just after the Creandum Funds led their Seed round in 2020, I couldn’t pass. Working closely with the co-founders, we scaled the company from an ambitious idea into a thriving business. Today, as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), I lead a team of 40 people, overseeing go-to-market strategy, sales, business development, and the complexities of scaling a business across multiple geographies. These past five years have been an incredible journey, teaching me invaluable lessons, and giving me a front-row seat to the rollercoaster of building a company from the ground up.

Fast forward, today, I am very excited to be back working with the Creandum Funds’ portfolio companies and their visionary entrepreneurs to help them turn ambitious ideas into reality. I thrive on collaborating closely with founders, helping them navigate the critical stages of growth. From finding product-market fit to building early traction and assembling high-performing teams, I enjoy sharing all the GTM  lessons I’ve learned.

When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me in the kitchen. Cooking—and eating—is one of my greatest joys, especially in Paris, where food feels like a vital part of life.
