Daniel Ovenden
Dan is our Talent Lead in London, working closely with the founders of the Creandum funds' portfolio to attract outstanding people globally. He’s passionate about building strong teams and providing strategic guidance on all things talent-related.
Growing up with three brothers I learnt early that you need to be enterprising to get results, as well as learning plenty of life lessons about competitiveness and patience.

After relocating to Devon for the majority of my childhood, I found my way back to London for university. Having studied business management to keep my career options ‘open’, my entry into the world of talent found me almost by chance. I was quickly drawn into the entrepreneurial nature of owning a recruitment desk and having quantifiable objectives where input is directly related to outcome.
Joining Revolut gave a new exposure to what high performance looks like and excited me about being in a scaling environment. This inspired me to join an early stage startup, to build from the ground up, ultimately leading me to the Creandum team.
The most important character trait I’ve learnt along the way is determination. For me this underpins so many other attributes. I’m a strong believer that with the right mindset and approach you can make anything a success.
Beyond my profession, my fitness journey has been a key passion, focused on personal improvement and learning the science of biomechanics and nutrition. As well as fitness tips, you can interest me with places to explore, or recommendations for podcasts and shows to watch.
